What is the Nehemiah Program?

How much money does a Nehemiah buyer need to buy a home?
ZERO! A Nehemiah buyer isnt required to spend any of their own money toward the purchase if a home. Nehemiah's only mandatory requirement is that the buyer have 1% of the sales price in reserves (cash, savings, or checking) or they can spend it on any of the costs of the purchase (earnest money can be counted!) Note: Considering all this, a Nehemiah buyer will never pay more for a home than what its worth because the property still must meet the lenders appraisal for value!
