Hello, I'm Beryl Gosney of WA State

I am a leading agent on Internet and a very loyal and dedicated servant of military families since my retirement after 27 years, affiliated with the Navy.

Below, I wish to respectfully share with you Senator, a typical letter I receive all the time, from veteran members of the U.S. military stationed throughout the world.

Senator, I am a real estate agent in Washington State.  Since my retirement, I have been working with military families in your WA State jurisdiction, to find them affordable quality housing.  While it has been very rewarding to see the happiness and smiles from military families acquiring  homes, it also has been very challenging.

And, as you know, it isn't getting any easier for anyone in our country to afford a home of their own.

There is something Senator, that you, and your fellow senators can personally do for all of our Vets.

On their behalf, please sponsor a bill that would exempt every eligible Veteran for a VA loan from having to pay closing costs when they make their purchase.

Too often, it is the closing costs that prevent many of our military families from owning the true American Dream --- a home they can call their very own.

GOD only knows, our veterans deserve more than what our government provides them.  Especially when compared to the monies spent on other programs, whether for peoples in this country or some far off land.

A  2.8% (of purchase price) closing costs credit from Veterans Affairs upon loan approval by them, would go a long ways to offset the difference between a successful closing and one which is short of funds to close.

I value your work Senator Murray and I thank you for your loyalty to our military all these years.  I stand behind you anytime it helps those on active duty or veterans of past military service.

I look forward to you granting this request and ask that you call on me any time, if I can be of added assistance.

Respectfully,

OPEN LETTER FROM A MILITARY VETERAN

Good Morning Mr. Gosney,

I was reading the information on your website and I wanted to ask you a few questions.

I am in the military.  I have been in for 20 years now. How can someone like myself purchase a home using my VA?

In the past I have had some hard times, however I consider my credit to be good. I don't have a lot of money for a down payment, so how could I get the lowest rate and low mortgage payments?

I have a family and over the years I just have been paying off debts and still trying to save each month.

I have been renting for many years since I have been in the military. It would be such a blessing if I could own my own home that my family and I can call our own.

Through the years I have paid rents of $595.00, $650.00, $795.00, $1,165.00, $1,200.00 and $1,300.00 a month. Currently I am paying $1,120.00. with no utilities included for a house that I have been renting since May of 2005.

I would appreciate any information or advice. Thank you and have great day.

Respectfully,  Kevin
